Example
IRG has particular expertise in applications for switchgear and fusing equipment. IRG has helped develop the worldwide standardization of copper phosphor alloy strip use in distribution cut out switches. The copper phosphor provides a critical contact pad to insure the path of conductivity in the switch. Alloy 197 has been specified for corrosive applications where high conductivity must be maintained. Alloy 194 has been specified for high conductivity applications with special high mechanical strength requirements. IRG can offer the quickest lead-time in the industry on custom slit copper alloys. In some cases, IRG stocks copper phosphor alloy strip for cut out switch applications. IRG supplies our customers material certifications and laboratory reports for every shipment of copper alloy material to insure that the alloy meets or exceeds specification.
